The deep profoundness of music and its importance
Selena - RCP Newspaper

Music is an extremely integral art form to our society, as people of all ages enjoy at least some form of it in their lives. Every generation the world has seen has created, listened, and appreciated music for the emotions it invokes and envelops them in.
In an interview with Ms. Chan, the music teacher, she was asked about the significance and meaning of music. She detailed that what music is really about and what it means to her is "speaking to someone's soul," essentially trying to reach their inner emotions and connect with them through the music.
Ms. Chan describes the state of music to "go beyond words and technicality," to speak through the vocabulary of notes, rhythms, and harmonies with everyone playing a different part to make up a beautiful song that gets transmitted to its audience. It's to send and communicate a message, a theme that resonates with the audience to invoke the different emotions that are relayed through the song.

The themes that songs convey can vary wildly based on the genre, date, and overall feel in which the song was created, but they all speak about some form of emotion. Something that can connect with the audience it speaks to, something human and real, that joins together one with the music. The profound depth comes from the fact that music can be appreciated universally, to make you feel, to empathize, and to connect. Joy, sadness, rage, envy, concern, all the things in between, music can amplify or help you through your walk in life, and that is what's so important about it.

Music has greatly impacted our world, and it brings the raw soul of humanity into something tangible, creating a world of wonder and whimsy in the harsh society.
