Live theatre has been around for millennia, being one of the first mainstream entertainment outlets as humans to utilise and express ourselves with. It is a staple in the entertainment industry to showcase raw, authentic acting to its fullest capacity and convey all of the different emotions in humanity.

The temporary replacement for the current Drama teacher,  Ms. Komad, is Ms. Riddel, who was interviewed on what the crux of the matter is when it comes to theatre. She explains that "[she] think[s] that through the theatre, you can tell lots of different stories and show and express the human condition [as well as] how we think and feel," sharing that she views it as a form of art among many other things.

The art of storytelling is so essential to us as humans to let out all of the messy in-betweens of being, in this world that often encourages suppressing or hiding those moments, as well as with fiction, letting the imagination of the brain take hold and create a different world to venture into. There are so many different stories to tell and that's why there are so many plays, musicals, books, movies, and just art, that want to tell a story, because there are so many humans on this earth, and we all need an outlet to put our feelings into full gear.

The theatre celebrates storytelling and emotions, and celebrates the state of being. It creates different worlds to immerse yourself into, and wants you to feel and empathize and be. It is a beautiful form of art and has a place for everyone to enjoy it.
