Visual art consists entirely of visuals, and that leaves a broad spectrum to indulge in. Visual art is very diverse in its different mediums and forms which allows for new ideas to constantly be realized. Illustrations are varied across different tools and even digital now with new technology in the past century, which creates a different look even if unintentional. Visual art doesn't even necessarily have to be illustrations, it can be sculptures, pottery, or even leaves. The creativeness of artists has cultivated so many different mediums of art to create and is what's most special about visual art.
4 Types of Visual Art
Here, I'll list some types of visual art to experiment with, or just learn about.
Note, the look of these different mediums will vary from person to person!
1. Ceramics

In Ms. MacDonald, an art teacher's classes, they all have differing mediums that they are currently focusing on to experiment and have a greater outlook on art as a whole. In one of them, they are stepping into ceramics with making custom watches to broaden their knowledge of the different materials used and to have fun with the new bounds of the material.
2. Yearbooks

Yearbooks, while not entirely designed to showcase artistic talent, do need a bit of graphic designing as all products do. Many commonly have a theme to them and create elements pertaining to said theme to make the book look cohesive and fun, figuring out what colours and illustrations to put throughout the book.
3. Pastels

Pastels are most often the introductory medium in elementary schools other than illustrating, because of how hands-on and immediate the colour creation and mixing is. It creates a solid and smooth finish on the piece similar to oil paints which makes it stand out from a regular illustration.
4. Painting

And, of course, painting. This medium is widely revered as it was a traditional art form across the world and has such a unique way of melding colours, and within it, different techniques to create various looks as well.
All of this shows the beautiful diversity and versatility of visual art as a form of creative expression and how each medium varies in look, feel, and even purpose. The broad spectrum of mediums allows creativity to take hold in everyone's unique ways and that's why it's so important for so many.
